Lympne Nativity Procession

Sunday 17th December 2023 – the first Lympne Nativity Procession.

Over 350 turned up to enjoy 4 processions through 5 locations, with donkeys, sheep and camels whilst the Christmas Story was acted out.  

 Starting from the Village Hall (Nazareth) everyone followed Mary and a donkey across the recreation ground. After failing to get accommodation at two inns everyone ended up at a stable (part of the castle) which was rather full of angels and sheep.

 Camels then led the way to King Herod in his castle before finding Mary in Bethlehem (Lympne church).

 A collaboration between the church, the castle (who provided the animals), the village hall, brownies and guides.

The Event was a great success – over 350 people attended and participated in the Christmas Story.
